Remember when a healthtech delegation from Wales visited us in Brussels in February? It was an extremely interesting day of meeting companies and clusters from Wales and hearing pitches by both Welsh and Flemish companies. Partnerships were forged that could lead to business developments in the UK, which were interrupted by Brexit, and we learned about potential funding opportunities.
MediWales Connects: NHS Collaboration Conference
Now we would like to pay a return visit! MEDVIA is taking our members on a mission to Wales on 25-26 June. It’s a strategic date: The annual MediWales Connects conference takes place on 26 June.
MediWales is the country’s life sciences network bringing together industry, academia and the clinical community. Its annual Connects is an NHS collaboration conference – the only one of its kind for the health and care community in Wales.
The conference in Cardiff attracts members of MediWales, NHS colleagues and other players in the life sciences sector from across the country. They come together to share clinical innovation in practice and improve patient outcomes.
MediWales Connects is the perfect opportunity for Flemish companies to explore working with the NHS, which of course also covers healthcare provision in England and Scotland. In the UK, all medical solutions must be approved and purchased through the NHS. Understanding how this centralized process works is crucial to marketing your product or service in the UK.
Program is up to you
For our visit, we are building a program focused on digital health. The day before the conference MEDVIA will take our members on visits to relevant institutions. The program has not yet been finalized because … it depends on you!
