Putting together a clear pitch deck, highlighting the topics investors need to hear and spotting the right backers when you see them … these are far from easy tasks for a new start-up. That’s why MEDVIA is hosting two events to help get start-ups on their way to finding funding: How to Talk to an Investor and How to Pitch Like a Pro.
These afternoon workshops are being held in the lead-up to the HealthTech Investor Summit, MEDVIA’s new conference bringing together European healthtech entrepreneurs with investors. HealthTech Investor Summit takes place from 4-6 December in Bruges.
These workshops are aimed at young start-ups preparing for their first seed or pre-seed funding round and who may be taking part in the pre-seed session at HealthTech Investor Summit. But they are open to anyone who can benefit from expert advice on these crucial skills. Participants can sign up for one or both workshops – but both will fully prepare you to take part in HealthTech Investor Summit.
How to Talk to an Investor
How to Talk to an Investor is aimed at young start-ups that are preparing for their first seed or pre-seed funding round and have little to no experience approaching and networking with investors. You will hear directly from investors on what they want to hear from a start-up and learn how to tell if any given investor is right for you.

The day begins with presentations by VCs, funds and legal advisors before launching into small group speed dating with these experts so you can get to know them better and ask specific questions.

This workshop is is solely focused on pitching, with discussions on how to build a slide deck that answers all the questions investors have while telling your story truthfully and engagingly. Following the presentations, companies will work with MEDVIA and independent coaches on their pitches, then get the chance to pitch to the audience. Interactive and invaluable!
