Health data is a major buzzword in medtech, IT and healthcare … and it’s not hard to see why. Gathering, trusting, using and reusing the data we have – and getting access to the data we don’t – is crucial to the development of new innovations, services, therapies and the entire approach of providing healthcare. Not to mention in setting policy.
The Ghent-based European Institute for Innovation through Health Data is dedicated to this topic, and we invite you to join us at its annual conference:
Building Trust in Health Data

The conference will equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and tools for enabling an improved uptake of digital health innovations. The focus is on obtaining and using reliable health data and enabling trustworthy primary and secondary uses of data.
European-funded projects will share different approaches to addressing the challenges inherent in this topic. By bringing these projects together, Building Trust in Health Data are joining the dots from varying points of view to be able to have a shared vision and plan of action.
MEDVIA will host the session Developing a Health Data Framework in Belgium on 30 November from 15.00 to 17.00.

Other sessions at the conference include High Quality Primary Health Data for Drug Safety, Scaling up the European Health Data Space and Trustworthy AI Systems. Among the keynote speakers are Dr Frank Vandenbroucke, federal health minister of Belgium; Frank Callewaert, technology officer at Microsoft Belgium, Luxembourg and EU Institutions; and Anca Toma, executive director of the European Patients’ Forum.
