MEDVIA seeks investment-ready projects in ATMP smart manufacturing

MEDVIA is looking into forming an international consortium to participate in the EU’s Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument project calls. Under the topic Smart Manufacturing, we are exploring the potential of submitting a proposal for investments in the ATMP smart manufacturing value chain.

We are seeking two investment-ready projects from SMEs who are members of MEDVIA. The projects should address one or several challenges in ATMP smart manufacturing.

This process will take place in up to six countries, with the goal of increasing the competitiveness in ATMP manufacturing by boosting investments in SMEs, bringing overall European standards to a higher level. By joining forces, we hope to support the uptake of innovative technologies currently at TRL 6-9.

We are aiming for total project funding of €9 million for a duration of 36 months. The two Flemish investment projects would be worth +/- €600,000 each, with 70% funded by the EU; 30% would be the cost of the SME.

MEDVIA is currently in talks with five other regions and is now working to:

  1.  Touch base with our members and identify interested parties. If you are interested, tell us about it! We need to hear from you by 18 August.
  2.  Support the proposal process with a professional grant writer. The costs of this will be divided among the participants. The maximum cost per SME will be €3,000. More details will be available on this in mid-September
  3.  Lead the process with our international partners, with a 17 October deadline for submission

This call is open to members of MEDVIA. Non-members will need to become a member before being able to be considered for the call.
