MEDVIA and VLAIO hosted our new joint Proposal-Writing Workshop this week. Consortia whose funding abstracts were successful are required to attend the three-session program to help them in submitting a winning proposal.

The flowchart we developed to lead participants through the process of considering benchmarks, needs and ultimate realizations proved to be a hit, with consortia adapting their approach as they worked their way through it.

The session turned out to be inspiring and productive, with seven consortia working together on their proposals, thinking through the essential parts. Their feedback was very positive, as they felt that the session advanced their insights into the proposal-writing process.

More than 20 people took part in the session, representing seven consortia. While six new abstracts submitted were approved by the international jury to move to the proposal stage, another consortia adapted and resubmitted a previous abstract, which has also been approved.

Two more sessions will take place in the following two months. The workshops are open to anyone and will likely be repeated during future calls for funding.
