Visit the dedicated website for the complete program, list of speakers and practical information. Formerly known as Life on Chip, the conference is being relaunched in 2023 as HealthTech Summit: Meeting at the Cross-Roads of Health Innovation. Co-hosted by MEDVIA and Smart-Hub Vlaams-Brabant, together with several partners, HealthTech Summit is a global conference on cross-over innovation in healthcare.

HealthTech Summit was launched in 2019, co-hosted by Smart Hub Vlaams-Brabant, Flanders.bio, DSP Valley and Leuven MindGate. The focus was similar to what it is today: Innovations fostered through crossovers of the medtech and biotech industries and regenerative medicine.

Taking place on 23 March 2023 at the Provinciehuis in Leuven, HealthTech Summit will bring together national and international experts and VCs in medtech, biotech, digital health and patient care to examine the current state and the future of collaborative innovation.

Never has it been more critical for healthcare providers, patient organizations, research institutions and the healthtech industry to work together to realize innovations that ultimately improve the lives of patients. Topics that will be key at HealthTech Summit include:

  • Value-based healthcare
  • Personalized medicine
  • Disruptive innovations
  • Medical imaging
  • E-health

Combined with ever-growing biological insights and technological revolutions, innovation leads to ground-breaking applications that accelerate and transform the healthcare system. But this must be done with together with providers and patients in order to create the most impact. The hybrid HealthTech Summit will put patients at the center of the discussion.

Keynote addresses will be delivered by Denise Silber and Paul Stoffels. Silber is the founder of the Paris-based digital health communications consultancy Basil Strategies. She is also the founder of Doctors 2.0 & You, a medical congress consultancy. Paul Stoffels is the CEO of Galapagos, the Mechelen-based drug developer with a focus on therapeutic approaches for unmet medical needs.
