InnovFest puts the best of Flanders’ spearhead clusters on show

Don’t miss the biggest inter-cluster event Flanders has ever seen. InnovFest will bring together members and projects from all seven spearhead clusters on 24 October

Flanders is home to seven sectors that are strategically and economically crucial to the region: Logistics, food, healthtech, energy, materials, chemicals and the blue economy. Each one is represented by a cluster organization, all of which operate with a single goal: To foster collaboration and innovation among its members.

The cluster organizations – MEDVIA, Catalisti, VIL, Flux50, Flanders’ Food, SIM and Blauwe Cluster – are an essential link in the innovation chain in Flanders. Together they are responsible for thousands of projects realized through matchmaking, funding, facilitation and determining needs.

Policymakers, press and cluster members are invited to the first-ever InnovFest to see some of these projects up close. The Innovation Hall will be buzzing with drones, bioreactors, heat exchangers, plasma reactors and more. Meet fellow cluster members while learning about the innovations that have established them in the marketplace.

VRT anchor Wim De Vilder will host the Dutch-speaking event on 24 October in Technopolis. VLAIO administrator-general Mark Andries will talk about what makes a successful cluster policy, and Patricia Ceysens of WeWatt will deliver the keynote address.

Along with that are video messages from a number of cluster members and an interactive panel discussion with the heads of all the clusters – including Ann Van Gysel, CEO of MEDVIA. A networking reception rounds things off.

If you are attached to a member of MEDVIA, don’t hesitate to sign up now for InnovFest! Registrations must be received by noon on 20 October.
