Funding opportunities: As the Flemish government’s spearhead cluster for healthtech, MEDVIA offers funding through Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (VLAIO). We also assist with advice and finding partners for national and international grant schemes
Flagship conferences: MEDVIA hosts two internationally renowned events every year – Science for Health (together with cluster partner BioWin) and HealthTech Investor Summit. We also co-host and sponsor key conferences, putting our members onstage and in front of investors. (And we get them healthy discounts)
MEDVIA Academy: We offer workshops and trainings such as how to prepare the perfect proposal or pitch like a pro
Communication outlet: We disseminate valuable information to our members via newsletters and social media. We also promote our members’ news and events

Matchmaking & networking: MEDVIA provides a wide variety of opportunities for members and health innovation stakeholders to connect
Addressing common challenges: We bring our members together to speak with one voice in addressing universal issues, such as reimbursement policies, Medical Device Regulation and the integration of personalized medicine. We ally with international clusters to amplify our impact
Co-host: Members have the opportunity to co-host or otherwise take part in high-profile events and activities
Strategic Initiatives: We collaborate with members and partners on our Strategic Initiatives – currently improving the ATMP landscape and streamlining the collection and use of health data in Belgium. We also represent the Flemish healthtech sector in a number of European projects

European connections: MEDVIA connects our members to other clusters, investors and stakeholders at a variety of European events. We also secure discounts for our members
Missions abroad: MEDVIA takes members on international missions to explore and connect with healthtech hubs. Our Say Yes to the US program culminates in a healthtech mission to the United States. We also supports Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) in its missions focused on healthtech and biotech
International Course: MEDVIA partners with several Flemish provinces to host an internationalization course for healthtech start-ups and scale-ups

MEDVIA supports an ecosystem of around 180 members, all with one thing in common: A commitment to supporting innovation for better health at the crossroads of medtech, biotech and digital technology.
Our members include digital health and healthtech companies, hospitals, research institutes, patient care services, academia and service providers.
