Innovation happens when diverse fields join forces
MEDVIA provides non-dilutive funding – made available by Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (VLAIO) – to consortia developing disruptive solutions for unmet medical needs.
Consortia must consist of at least three partners from the sectors medical biotechnology, medtech or digital health.
There are two funding calls per year, which we announce on our website, in our newsletter and via our social media.

Different needs, different funding options
MEDVIA offers funding through multiple VLAIO grants, depending on the partners and the needs of the project.
For projects only involving one or two partners, members can apply directly to VLAIO.
For projects involving a consortia of three or more partners, members must go through MEDVIA to apply for the VLAIO funding using the correct forms and channels.
We help you to understand which option is best for you and provide support such as coaching and workshops to help you submit successful project Abstracts and Proposals.
