As the Flemish health innovation cluster, MEDVIA works together with the clusters of Wallonia and Brussels to build a stronger ecosystem for all.

Together, we support cross-regional projects through special funding schemes.

  • MEDVIA/BioWin Joint Projects build and fund consortia with partners from Flanders and Wallonia.
  • BEL-COO supports R&D projects that bring together Flemish companies with partners from Wallonia or Brussels, with combined funding from VLAIO and the other region’s innovation agency.

MEDVIA and flanders.bio have joined forces to become Biovia

Biovia is the new name of the health innovation cluster formed by the merger of MEDVIA and flanders.bio. With a united voice, we will champion the entire healthtech and biotech ecosystem on the regional, federal and European stage.

Biovia reflects a One Health vision: a holistic approach that recognizes the interdependence of human and planetary health. Together with our 400+ members, we are forging a path to a resilient health innovation ecosystem in Flanders.
