Science for Health
12 Nov 2024

MEDVIA is excited to bring you another edition of Science for Health, the event where biology meets technology, taking place on 12 November in Brussels.

  • Collaboration is the name of the game! SFH is a unique environment where researchers, healthcare professionals, industry leaders and policymakers can connect to innovate and shape the future of health.
  • This year our conversations are focused around artificial intelligence, data and digitalization, so we are bringing together experts at the interface of innovative research where big changes have and continue to be made.
  • We are showcasing Belgian developments and research, so we can support this region’s efforts to be a strong European hub for new scientific developments!

On the program:

  • Keynote talks by Jack Scannell (Etheros Pharmaceuticals), Yves Moreau (ULeuven) and Mieke De Ketelaere (Vlerick Business School)
  • Breakout sessions in Drug Discovery & Development and Prevention & Diagnostics
  • Fireside chat on the use of health data for research in Belgium
  • Roundtable on AI in healthcare and drug discovery – how does Belgium compare with the rest of the world?

And of course there are networking opportunities throughout the event!

Better together

and are joining forces in a brand new organization

The members of MEDVIA and flanders.bio have voted to merge their activities in the first half of 2025. With a united voice, we will champion the entire healthtech and biotech ecosystem on the regional, federal and European stage.

The merger allows MEDVIA and flanders.bio to align activities and deliver more powerful support for our collective members. We will achieve greater impact with more dynamic networking opportunities, better directed funding and increased efficiency, sharpening our focus in common areas and drafting strategic roadmaps for Flanders.
