MEDVIA is holding an Extraordinary General Assembly to vote on a merger with flanders.bio.
Dear MEDVIA members,
At the Extraordinary General Assembly (EGA) last November, we provided an update on the ongoing discussions between MEDVIA and flanders.bio to explore the possibility of a merger between our two highly complementary member organizations in the Flemish health and innovation ecosystem.
In December 2024, the governing bodies of both organizations approved a recommendation to their members to allow this merger to proceed. MEDVIA believes that joining forces with flanders.bio in a joint new entity is a necessary and strategically important step. By combining our networks, resources and expertise, we can promote innovation, streamline processes and increase knowledge sharing between our members.
It is also important that the Flemish ecosystem speaks with one voice, so that together we can create more impact at local, European and international levels. Together with our members, we want to formulate a clear roadmap for the future.

We invite all our members to this EGA on Monday, 27 January 2025, at 16.00 on location at PwC Belgium, Culliganlaan 5, Machelen. The assembly will be held in Dutch.
We formally ask our Carry members to give their approval to the decision of the Board of Directors in order to further develop this collaboration. This can be done in person at the EGA. Carry members who can not be present at the EGA may vote by proxy via another Carry member.

- Acknowledgement of the merger proposal
- Acknowledgement and discussion of the reports drawn up by the auditor
- Resolution to merge
- Notification of the of dissolution without liquidation of MEDVIA
- Approval of new Carry members
- Proxy for the formalities
