For the first time, VUB will be running a Summer School on “Digital Health Technologies: Law Ethics & Regulatory Issues”. Classes will take place from 3-7 June 2024 on the VUB campus in Brussels.

Participants who attend all lectures and pass the assessment will receive a certificate of participation than can be used to obtain credits. MEDVIA members can get a 25% discount on the registration fee. Contact us to receive the discount code.

This training has been made possible through a collaboration between the Health and Ageing Law Lab of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health of the Technische Universität Dresden. The aim is to bring together legal scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and industry experts to delve into the multifaceted challenges and opportunities presented by the rapid evolution of health technologies.

Better together

and are joining forces in a brand new organization

The members of MEDVIA and flanders.bio have voted to merge their activities in the first half of 2025. With a united voice, we will champion the entire healthtech and biotech ecosystem on the regional, federal and European stage.

The merger allows MEDVIA and flanders.bio to align activities and deliver more powerful support for our collective members. We will achieve greater impact with more dynamic networking opportunities, better directed funding and increased efficiency, sharpening our focus in common areas and drafting strategic roadmaps for Flanders.
